Like any other company, our ambition is to grow.

But companies’ growth has many ways, and that’s what these letters are about.

Our natural, faithful customers are the owner-operators.

They may have several trucks or even a small fleet, but the owner usually rides a truck himself or has done so for many years.

That may be why owner-operators care more for aides who make their riding nights more comfortable and pleasant.

They also care about reducing costs, but the driver’s well-being comes first.

That’s why they buy our bulbs.

It has always surprised us why fleet companies behave differently.

We know that they prioritize safety, but they also strongly care about costs.

However, headlight bulbs are not a major expenditure, and the benefits of good headlighting are enormous.

We have considered launching a “low-cost” program for fleets several times as a way to enter the big market, but have always vacillated.

Today, we have decided to stick with our “owner-operator” strategy, and this is why:

1. We have always marketed our products based on the principle that customers search for solutions when they want to better accomplish a job-to-be-done (Alan Klement). If truck fleets don’t search for our headlight bulbs with “owner-operator” intensity, they may not be struggling to enjoy better driver night vision as owner-operators do. We would rather wait until they do.
2. Truck fleets are big customers, and like any big customer, they feel they deserve better prices. However, owner-operators have the same right to be profitable. Therefore, we prefer to reward loyal customers with better pricing (including truck fleets) as a way to promote care for the driver’s comfort, regardless of the customer’s size.
3. We know the numbers. Good LED headlight bulbs may seem much more expensive than their halogen counterparts. They are not. They last much longer and definitely prevent costly accidents. Additionally, they let drivers know that the company cares for them.

Many of today’s big fleets started as owner-operators when the only headlighting alternative was halogen bulbs. The following owner generations enjoy LEDs in their cars but don’t drive the big trucks anymore.

They simply don’t know that good, affordable LED headlight bulbs exist for big trucks, too.
